How to See Life Working for You, Not Against You

Have you ever had one of those weeks where everything just feels… heavy? Things don’t go your way, you’re drained, and your mindset starts spiraling. When we’re in those moments, it’s easy to believe that life is working against us. But what if those challenges weren’t punishment—they were preparation?

Here’s the truth: Life is always offering you something. A lesson, a redirection, a moment to pause. It may not look like a gift in the moment, but with time and intention, even the hard stuff can become a stepping stone.

Let’s take a closer look at how you can start shifting your perspective to see life working for you—even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Start with the Story You’re Telling Yourself

We all have a story running in the background. “Why is this happening to me?” becomes the anthem when we’re overwhelmed. But here’s what I ask my clients to consider: What if this is happening for you? What if this setback is setting you up for something bigger?

Instead of spiraling into frustration or self-doubt, try asking: “What is life trying to show me here?”

Your perspective is one of your most powerful tools. You can either see obstacles or opportunities, but rarely both at the same time.

Find the Pattern, Not the Problem

When a similar frustration keeps showing up, it’s usually a pattern—not a coincidence. And patterns point to areas we’re being asked to grow. Life isn’t picking on you. It’s pointing something out.

Maybe it’s time to speak up more often. Maybe it’s time to let go of something that’s no longer aligned. Maybe it’s time to stop waiting for someone else’s approval and start moving forward anyway.

Journal Prompt

What’s a challenge I’m facing right now, and what’s one good thing that could come from it?

Use this prompt when you’re in a moment that feels hard. Write without judgment. Just explore what might be under the surface.

What This Shift Can Change

When you start seeing life as something that supports you—even in the struggle—everything begins to feel lighter. You take back your power. You stop waiting for everything to be perfect before you believe in your direction.

And little by little, you stop feeling stuck and start feeling more grounded.

Remember: You Don’t Have to Pretend It’s All Fine

This perspective shift doesn’t mean you have to pretend the hard things don’t affect you. It just means you choose not to stay in that space. You let yourself feel it, and then you move through it with curiosity instead of shame.

And when you do? That’s when the magic happens.

Your life doesn’t have to be easy to be purposeful. The messy moments can be just as meaningful as the ones that look picture-perfect.

If you’re navigating a difficult season and need support in finding clarity and purpose, my Purpose Filled Life Program was built for that exact reason. We’ll walk through it together.

You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
